Sweet Suspensions frames are easy to decorate with
ribbons, laces, small silk flowers, pompoms, beads, bows and even
pine cones. A simple cording gives a tailored look, but it's fun to
keep adding embellishments. It's a joy to create beautiful
ornaments. You can delight in being fanciful!

DECORATING SWEET SUSPENSIONS:
After assembling both sides, the frame will have a gap at the seam. Hide the gap by gluing lace, ribbon or cording around the frame. |
RUFFLED LACE TRIM: Starting at the top, glue the gathered edge along the seam of the frame an inch at a time.
Glue lace on both sides. Cover the lace seam with ribbon. |
RIBBON: Glue ribbon on starting at the top and centering it along the sides. End by slightly over-lapping the ribbon.
Form a loop (hanger -- about 3 inches) and glue into place. |
BOWS: Form a bow. Glue the bow inside the loop. |
CORD: Start by gluing an end to the top of the frame and make a loop. Continue gluing the cord around the frame.
Wrap the cord wide around the base of the loop getting narrower as it goes up, gluing as you go.
Finish by tucking the end of the cording down into the center of the wrapping with a toothpick. |
