Pretty Potpourri Ornaments can be quickly made by placing favorite potpourri on one or both sides of Sweet Suspension frames and then decorating the frames with ribbons and laces. We have made Christmas ornaments with cross-stitch holiday designs on the front sides and wintergreen potpourri on the back sides. MATERIALS NEEDED: Sweet Suspensions frame, potpourri, a swatch of lace or tulle two inches wider than the frame. FILLING WITH POTPOURRI: 1. Cover one face of the inner frame and the rim with a thin layer of tacky glue. 2. Carefully fill with potpourri. Keep rim clean. 3. Place the swatch of lace over the potpourri. 4. Place the outer frame into position over the lace. Pull the lace taut. Place the frame under heavy books to dry. 5. Trim away excess lace with a craft knife cutting against the inner frame. 6. Potpourri on both sides? Repeat this procedure on the other side. 7. The frame will have a gap at the seam. Hide the gap by starting at the top and gluing lace, ribbon or cording around the frame.
